With fall drawing ever closer, the PCA Youth Center held a Mid-Autumn Festival to celebrate the traditional Chinese holiday. The afternoon was filled with enthusiastic laughter as around 50 kids cycled through an array of exciting stations, which included hand painting, origami folding, lantern painting, and shuttlecock juggling.
During origami, kids learned how to fold different kinds of rabbits, such as bookmarks and even a standing one. At hand painting, participants could choose between various designs, such as a flower or the PCA logo.
At the lantern painting station, kids demonstrated their creativity and imagination by creating vivid patterns and designs. Their colorful lanterns lit up the pavilion with further cheeriness.
Overall, our event was a big success, spreading culture and festivity throughout the community. Kids of all ages were able to explore Chinese traditions while having a fun time.
Finally, thank you to all the volunteers who took time out of their weekend to make this event possible. We would also like to express our gratitude to all the participants for supporting our cause. We hope you look forward to future events!
